An important element of the ITF’s Coaches Education Programme are the Regional Conferences. These events are held regionally every two years and typically deal with both high level player development and increasing participation in tennis.
In 2010 the ITF Regional Coaches Conferences were conducted in partnership with Olympic Solidarity and the Regional Associations (ATF, COSAT, COTECC, and CAT). The dates for the Regional Coaches Conferences were as follows-
The ITF Southern African Regional Coaches Conference was held in Pretoria, South Africa from 18 - 21 September.
The ITF Central American & Caribbean Conference was held in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico from 20 - 24 September.
The ITF South American Regional Coaches Conference was held in Mar del Plata, Argentina from 5 - 9 October.
The ITF North African Regional Coaches Conference was held in Tunis, Tunisia from 6 - 9 October.
The ITF Asian Regional Coaches Conference was in Subic Bay, the Philippines from 2 - 6 November.
In addition to the ITF/ Olympic Solidarity Conferences this year, Tennis Europe hosted the Tennis Europe Coaches Symposium in Moscow, Russia from 14 - 18 October.
