Sustainable growth for tennis

The ITF is responsible for organising and promoting tennis, which includes providing opportunities for participation, investing in its development, organising events, and governance.

A long-term plan for sustainable growth

The ITF2024 strategy focuses on a long-term plan for sustainable growth, and sustainability falls within each of our eight strategic priorities: opportunity, development, Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup, Olympics and Paralympics, integrity, investment, partnerships and communications. We implement this strategy in partnership with National and Regional Associations to ensure that the growth of tennis is sustainable.

Sustainability at the ITF

The ITF worked with AQ Green Tec, which seeks to invest into development-stage renewable energy and is exploring the field of climate neutrality and green power - in particular with regard to developing and marketing solutions for the measurement, reduction and offsetting of carbon emissions - to benchmark the ITF operational carbon emissions. The project report is linked below. This project aligned the ITF’s sustainability objectives with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Sports for Climate Action Framework (SCAF) and the International Olympic Committee’s sustainability strategy.
