Draws announced for the Paris 2024 Olympic Tennis Event

The draws have been announced for the Paris 2024 Olympic Tennis Event following the draw ceremony at Roland Garros on Thursday. 

Novak Djokovic faces Australia's Matthew Ebden in the first round, with the prospect of a blockbuster match in the second round against Rafael Nadal if the Spaniard gets past his opening opponent Marton Fucsovics of Hungary.

Reigning Roland Garros and Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz faces Lebanon’s Hady Habib in the first round.

Alexander Zverev starts his campaign to win his second successive Olympic singles gold against another Spaniard, Jaume Munar.

In the women’s draw, world No. 1 and reigning Roland Garros champion Iga Swiatek begins her Olympic campaign against Romania's Irina Camelia Begu.

No. 2 Coco Gauff, who is set to carry the USA flag at Friday's opening ceremony alongside Lebron James, starts her singles campaign against Australia's Ajla Tomljanovic. 

Germany’s Angelique Kerber, who has announced she will retire after the Olympic Tennis Event, will face Japan’s Naomi Osaka in a heavyweight clash of Grand Slam champions in the opening round.

Recently-crowned Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova, already an Olympic gold medallist in doubles, starts against Spain’s Sara Sorribes Tormo.

The standout pairing in the men's doubles draw sees Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal face an all-Spanish-speaking affair in the first round against Argentina's Andres Molteni and Maximo Gonzalez.

Another enticing clash in the men's doubles draw is the first round match that pits Andy Murray and Dan Evans against Kei Nishikori and Taro Daniel.

Both Murray and Nishikori, the Rio 2016 singles bronze medallist, are making their fifth Olympic appearances at Paris 2024 - two of only three players making their fifth Olympic appearance at this year's Games alongside Novak Djokovic.

In women’s doubles, the top-seeded American pairing of Gauff and Jessica Pegula play Australia’s Ellen Perez and Daria Saville in the opening round, while reigning Olympic champions Krejcikova and Siniakova, the No. 2 seeds, take on Hao-Ching Chan and Latisha Chan of Chinese Taipei.

Zverev and Laura Siegemund are top seeds in the mixed doubles, and they play the Czech duo of Siniakova and Tomas Machac in the first round.
