In partnership with Tennis Europe, the ITF is including the European Senior Club Championships on the ITF World Tennis Masters Tour calendar for the first time.

The popular club event, which has been running since 1983, will be allocated ITF world ranking points to increase the stakes further for the clubs involved.

The Championships, which will be held at Megasaray Club Belek in Antalya, Turkey begins with the 30-50 age categories on 21-26 November. On 28 November, teams from the 55-75 age categories will take to the court at the same venue, with the finals scheduled for 3 December.

Following a record-breaking year for participation numbers at the 2022 35-85 ITF World Team Championships, the introduction of the European Senior Club Championships provides an exciting opportunity for players to engage in further team competition on the ITF Masters Tour.

After a three-year hiatus due to Covid restrictions, the Club Championships are back with a bang in 2022. Consisting primarily of the national club league champions and runners-up of each nation, the team event is set to ensure high-quality tennis on the clay courts of Turkey. The format for the men is three singles and two doubles rubbers; for the women, two singles and one doubles.

With the team format becoming increasingly popular at all levels of the tennis pyramid, the inclusion of the European Senior Club Championships builds on the recent success of the ITF Masters World Team Championships.
