The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has today announced the 2025 ITF Beach Tennis Sand Series calendar, featuring an unprecedented increase in prize money, which will bring the total across the ITF Beach Tennis Tour to over $2 million. This milestone underscores the ITF's dedication to expanding the global reach and appeal of beach tennis, positioning 2025 as a landmark year in the sport's history.
Following a successful 2024 season with a record 491 ITF Beach Tennis Tournaments (465 Pro and 26 Junior), spanning 32 countries, the tour saw a remarkable 51% increase over the 2023 calendar, including recent additions to the tour in, Kenya, Iran, Curaçao and Vietnam. The 2025 season will continue to offer players expanded competitive opportunities across six continents.
After 2024 saw a remarkable surge in total prize money, reaching an impressive $1,938,500, 2025 will mark a historic milestone with two ITF Sand Series tournaments—Réunion and Brasília—each boasting a $100,000 prize pool. This landmark achievement sets a new standard for premier ITF beach tennis events and elevates the overall prize pool across the tour. Furthermore, Gran Canaria, São Paulo, and Aruba have raised their prize offerings to $75,000 each, underscoring the ITF’s dedication to enhancing the global profile of the sport.
Brazil will continue to lead in the advancement of beach tennis, hosting three of the ITF Sand Series tournaments across all prize categories—$50,000, $75,000, and $100,000—making it the first country to achieve this distinction and solidifying its role as a central hub for the sport. Brazil will also host nine BT400 tournaments and the 2025 ITF Beach Tennis World Cup.
Alongside Brazil, other ITF Sand Series host nations— Réunion, Spain, and Aruba— continue to play a crucial role in supporting the sport’s international progression, with the ITF Sand Series serving as the premier tournament tier on the ITF Beach Tennis World Tour.
