ITFWorld Winter edition published

The Winter 2022/23 edition of the International Tennis Federation’s official magazine, ITFWorld, has been published and can be read here.

The latest issue features retiring wheelchair tennis legend Shingo Kunieda on the cover and is packed with exclusive content, interviews and features.

There are interviews with both the 2022 ITF Junior World Champions – Lucie Havlickova of Czech Republic and Belgium’s Gilles Bailly.

Havlickova, the Roland Garros girls’ singles champion and US Open runner-up, talks about her standout season and how it feels to be starting out on the ITF World Tennis Tour. Bailly, who is also transitioning to the professional tour, discusses his achievements and what he has learnt so far.

Niels Vink, the young Dutchman named ITF Wheelchair Quad World Champion last year, tells ITFWorld how he started out in the sport and what sparked his rapid rise to the top of wheelchair tennis.

The magazine previews the Davis Cup by Rakuten Qualifiers, as nations face off in home-and-away ties this week in the first 2023 action of the men’s World Cup of Tennis and bid to secure a place in the Davis Cup Finals Group Stage. It also reflects on a landmark year for Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge, the women’s World Cup of Tennis.
