For the first time ever, Guam has an event on the ITF World Tennis Masters Tour calendar.

Running from 17-25 February 2024, the MT100 Dededo is an exciting new event open to players of all levels.

The Guam National Tennis Centre provides a beautiful setting for the tournament, which will host singles and doubles events for the 50-70+ age groups. While this will be the first edition of the event on the ITF Masters Tour, Tournament Director David Underwood has hosted the tournament internally twice before.

Underwood is "excited to get players from off-island" and starts preparing for the event "probably a month after the previous year's tournament".

According to Underwood, "Guam is a unique and culturally diverse tropical destination with close proximity to Asia."

This makes the island "a great destination for competitive team or individual sporting events/activities."

Aside from "our warm sandy beaches and tax-free shopping, Guam’s year-round tropical climate and proximity to Asia continues to attract and provide opportunities for visiting athletes through international and local sporting events and attractions in the region."

More importantly, Underwood emphasises the "warm, friendly nature of the local people that continue to make Guam a special place to visit".

The Guam National Tennis Centre looks forward to welcoming all Masters players to Guam!
