Obituary: Salvador Andrada

Former Asian Tennis Federation President Salvador Andrada passed away on 8 April at the age of 83.

Andrada, who was the first Filipino to head up the ATF and was later given the title of Honorary Life President, was also the longest-serving President of the Philippine Tennis Association (PHILTA) having headed up the organisation for over 20 years.

He also served as Vice-President of Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) and was a former Commissioner of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr Andrada’s family and the Philippine tennis community,” said ITF President David Haggerty.
