Statement of the Management Board of the Polish Tennis Association (via translation)

“At the meeting of the Management Board of the Polish Tennis Association, which took place on November 24, 2022, Mr. Mirosław Skrzypczyński submitted a statement of resignation from the position of the President of the Management Board of the Polish Tennis Association with immediate effect. Mirosław Skrzypczyński's resignation was unanimously accepted. 

“In accordance with the current PZT Statute and the vacancy created due to the resignation as the President of the Management Board, the Management Board during today's meeting also adopted a secret ballot on the election of a new President of the Management Board of the Association. 

“The new President of the Management Board of the Polish Tennis Association is Mr. Dariusz Łukaszewski, who has been the Vice-President so far. 

“At the same time, we would like to inform you that the Management Board at today's meeting also adopted a resolution on the appointment of an external, independent of the Management Board and other bodies of the Association, a three-person commission, whose task will be to examine all circumstances regarding matters related to the person of Mr. Mirosław Skrzypczyński, which were the subject of recent press articles, interviews and media reports. The Commission will consist of members of good repute, and its members will come from outside the PZT structures and provincial associations. The Commission will be made up of Women. 

“The composition of the Commission and its work plan shall be submitted to the public without delay no later than 30 November 2022. 

“This committee will be similar in scope to committees of inquiry. On the basis of the authorisation granted by the Polish Tennis Association, the Commission shall be entitled to request explanations, the hearing of witnesses and victims, the examination of documents and any other material necessary for the proper clarification of the case. In accordance with the assumptions of the adopted resolution, the Commission is obliged to prepare an appropriate report and submit it to the Management Board, the Audit Committee, and the Committee responsible for Discipline in the Polish Tennis Association. The report is to be drawn up within six months of the Commission being constituted. 

“At the same time, we would like to inform you that the Management Board of the Polish Tennis Association has been declaring deep concern about recent media reports from the very beginning. 

“We look forward to clarifying the matter as soon as possible and will take all measures to achieve this goal.”
