The ITF has confirmed the dates and venues for the 2020 BNP Paribas World Team Cup, with Portugal set to host the finals of the ITF’s flagship wheelchair tennis team event for the first time.

The 2020 BNP Paribas World Team Cup finals will be held on 4-10 May at the Vilamoura Tennis Academy, hosted by the Federacao Portuguesa de Tenis.

The Vilamoura Tennis Academy was previously host of the BNP Paribas World Team Cup European Qualification from 2017 to 2019.

The 2020 BNP Paribas World Team Cup finals will, once again, feature men’s women’s quad and junior draws.

The winners of the men's and women's events at each of the four regional competitions will earn qualification for their respective events at the 2020 BNP World Team Cup.

New for 2020, two regional qualification events for the quad draw will be held, combining teams from the European and African regions and then also teams from the Americas and Asia/Oceania regions. Dates and venues for the two quad qualification events will be confirmed in due course.

The nations that finished in positions 1-10 in the men’s event, positions 1-8 in the women’s event, positions 1-6 in the quad event and positions 1-4 in the junior event at the 2019 BNP Paribas World Team Cup in Israel earn direct entry for the 2020 BNP World Team Cup. Please see attached PDF.

The African Qualification once again returns to the Nairobi Club in Kenya.

For the second year in row the Asian Qualification will be held at the National Tennis Centre in Kuala Lumpur, hosted by the Lawn Tennis Association of Malaysia.

The European Qualification will be held in Sardinia Italy, the host nation of the 2017 BNP Paribas World Team Cup finals.
