Teenager Dino Prizmic continued his late-season surge on the ITF World Tennis Tour after winning back-to-back titles at M15 Monastir.

The 17-year-old Croat, who is making a strong transition to the pro ranks after an impressive junior career that saw him climb as high as No. 9 in the world in July, has now won his first three ITF men’s singles titles in his last four tournaments.

Prizmic launched his dominant run with his maiden men’s crown at M15 Heraklion in October and has won 16 of the 17 matches he has contested since then.

An impressive junior, Prizmic collected five boys’ singles titles between 2020 and 2022 and went on to reach the semi-finals at the Roland Garros Junior Championships in June, falling to eventual champion Gabriel Debru.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Abedallah Shelbayh also won his third ITF singles title of the year after beating Spaniard Daniel Rincon 6-1 6-4 in the final at M15 Trnava.

It was a familiar match-up for the Jordanian, who trains alongside occasional doubles partner Rincon at the Rafa Nadal Academy.

Rincon did get his revenge in the doubles final – beating Shelbayh and partner Coleman Wong 6-4 6-2 to win the title alongside Daniel Vallejo.

Shelbayh is something of a trailblazer for his nation, having become the first player from Jordan to win a title on the ITF World Tennis Tour when he collected his first pro win at M15 Monastir in July.

That landmark achievement came a year after he became the first player from his nation to win a match at any level of a Grand Slam as he reached the second round of the boys’ singles at the 2021 Junior Championships, Wimbledon.
