Ristic reigns in Prerov to become youngest Serbian to claim W60 title
Serbia’s Mia Ristic made history by becoming the youngest Serbian woman to win an ITF World Tennis Tour title at W60 level after conquering all before her at W60 Prerov.
Ristic, who is aged 17 years and three months, emerged from qualifying before advancing through the draw and dispatching Italy’s Aurora Zantedeschi, a fellow qualifier, 6-1 6-2 in the final.
“So grateful for this week,” Ristic wrote on Instagram. “I want to thank my parents and my little bro, without you guys this wouldn’t be possible! I love you. We keep going.”

After triumphing on the clay-courts of Czechia, Ristic becomes just the second Serbian woman to win an ITF World Tennis Tour title at W60 level or above before turning 18.
The only other player to have achieved the feat is Olga Danilovic, who topped the podium at $60,000 (former name of W60 events) Vermold in 2018. She was aged 17 years and six months at the time.
Ristic, who made her Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge debut for Serbia in April, now has two ITF World Tennis Tour titles to her name after triumphing at W25 Vrnjacka Banja in August 2022. Her latest victory has propelled her to a career-high No. 374 in the WTA Rankings.
Elsewhere, Ya Yi Yang became the youngest woman from Chinese Taipei to win an ITF World Tennis Tour at W40 level or above since Chang Kai-Chen in 2008. Yang, 19, lifted silverware at W40 Hong Kong and now has four ITF World Tennis Tour titles to her name this season.
