Katie Swan collected the eighth professional singles title of her career - and first in 16 months - after triumphing on the ITF World Tennis Tour at W25 Orlando.

The 21-year-old Brit put together an impressive week at the Florida tournament, dropping just a single set throughout her five matches and taking the semi-final scalp of world No. 142 Renata Zarazua before defeating American Robin Anderson 6-1 6-3 in the final.

The title was her fourth at W25 level – and her first since she won at W25 Claremont back in October 2019 after a series of injury troubles that limited her to just four tournament appearances in 2020.

Elsewhere, Clara Tauson continued her drive towards the top 100 after winning her second ITF title of the year at W25 Altenkirchen.

The 18-year-old Dane defeated Swiss Simona Waltert 3-6 6-1 6-3 in the final of the German carpet tournament to add to her win at W25 Fujairah in UAE last month. She now has nine titles to her name on the ITF World Tennis Tour and sits at No. 146 in the world rankings – two spots off the career-high ranking she achieved earlier this month.

Nuria Parrizas-Diaz won the other W25 title on offer last week, defeating Canadian Carol Zhao 6-3 6-0 to win her second title in as many weeks at W25 Potchefstroom (known under its promotional nation as the Ilana Kloss International).

The 29-year-old Spaniard now has 19 titles to her name on the ITF World Tennis Tour – including at least one in eight of the last nine years.

Romania’s Andreea Prisacariu won her third title at W15 level in Antalya, coming through qualifying before defeating Italian Aurora Zantedeschi 6-3 7-5 in the final.

Belarusian Shalimar Talbi also collected a third career crown at a W15 tournament, defeating 16-year-old Czech Linda Noskova 6-3 2-6 6-3 in the youngster’s first appearance in a professional final in Sharm El Sheikh.

Twenty-year-old Pole Weronika Falkowska completed the list of women’s winners over the weekend, claiming her first professional singles title at W15 Monastir following a 6-3 6-3 victory over Slovak Viktoria Morvayova.
