Türkiye to host 2024 Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup Junior Finals

The 2024 Davis Cup Junior Finals and Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Junior Finals will be hosted in Belek, Antalya, Turkiye the International Tennis Federation (ITF) has announced. 

The Davis Cup Junior Finals and the Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Junior Finals will take place from 11 – 17 November and will be played on clay courts at the Megasaray Tennis Academy.  

16 boys teams and 16 girls teams will compete in the Finals. Finalist teams will play in round robin groups for the first three days of competition. Following a planned day off, teams will then compete in three further ties for the final three days to determine final positions from 1st to 16th. All teams will compete in six ties during the seven days.  

Czechia are the current Davis Cup Juniors Champions, having overcome Italy 2-1 in last year’s final in Cordoba, Spain thanks to a decisive doubles victory from Maxim Mrva and Jan Kumstat. 

In the Billie Jean King Cup Juniors event, the United States will be the team to beat having won their eighth title in Cordoba last year with victory over Czechia. Victories for Tyra Grant and Iva Jovic capped a sensational week for the team, who romped to the title without dropping  a set. 

Previous winning teams have featured players who have gone on to excel at the top of the game including Rafael Nadal (Spain, 2002), Ashleigh Barty (Australia, 2011), Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov (Canada, 2015), Iga Swiatek (Poland, 2016), Carlos Alcaraz (Spain, 2018) and Coco Gauff (USA, 2018). 

The following nations have qualified for each of this year’s events: 

Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Junior Finals 

Australia, Canada, China, Japan, Korea, USA, Turkiye (Host Nation) 

Davis Cup Junior Finals 

Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Japan, Kazakhstan, Mexico, USA, Turkiye (Host Nation) 

Further nations will qualify following the completion of the following qualifying events: 

African Qualifying Event from 16 – 20 July – one team for Billie Jean King Cup Juniors, and two teams for the Davis Cup Juniors. 

European Qualifying Event (Tennis Europe Summer Cup Finals) from 5 – 7 August – five teams for each event 

South American Qualifying Event from 5 – 10 August – two teams for the Davis Cup Juniors and three teams Billie Jean King Cup Juniors.

We are pleased to be working alongside the Turkish Tennis Federation who will host the event at the Megasaray Tennis Academy for this year’s finals, and have fond memories of the excellent finals hosted there in 2021 and 2022. The list of previous participants is long and very impressive, and I’m sure this year’s players will be inspired by their compatriots who have come before them in this competition.”
