Diede De Groot and Sam Schroder will both be looking to defend their titles in the women's and quad singles categories at the 2023 Australian Open wheelchair event in Melbourne, while the retirement of reigning champion Shingo Kunieda leaves 2021 and 2022 runner-up Alfie Hewett as the top seed for this year's men's singles draw.
