Overview

Tokito Oda, Sam Schroder and Diede De Groot won the men’s, quad and women’s the titles at the 2022 NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters, while Schroder and De Groot completed eight days of competition as dual champions after winning the quad doubles and women’s doubles at the ITF Wheelchair Doubles Masters alongside their respective partners Niels Vink and Aniek can Koot.

Sixteen year-old Oda made a remarkable debut at the year-end championships on the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour, becoming the youngest winner of the men’s singles title after beating Alfie Hewett, previously the youngest champion.

There were also first-time champions in the men’s doubles after Martin de la Puente and Gustavo Fernandez denied Tom Egberink and Ruben Spaargaren the opportunity of completing a Dutch clean sweep of the ITF Wheelchair Doubles Masters titles.
