NEC WHEELCHAIR SINGLES MASTERS/ UNIQLO WHEELCHAIR DOUBLES MASTERS

Overview

The 2024 NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters and UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Masters - the ITF's year-end wheelchair tennis championships - took place in Arnhem, Netherlands, from 11-17 November.

With the NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters celebrating its 30th Anniversary year in 2024, Tokito Oda, Yui Kamiji and Niels Vink all followed up their their gold medal-winning performance at the Paris 2024 Paralympics by becoming the latest players to add the Singles Masters men's, women's and quad titles in the same season.

It's the first time that the men's, women's and quad singles gold medallists at any Paralympics have all gone on to add the Singles Masters titles in the same year.

Martin de la Puente and Joachim Gerard completed a tremendous first season as a doubles partnership by winning the UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Masters men's title. Jiske Griffioen and Aniek van Koot of the Netherlands claimed their third Doubles Masters women's title to add to their previous titles in 2012 and 2015. Meanwhile, Sam Schroder and Niels Vink sealed their fourth consecutive UNIQLO Doubles Masters quad title together.

The NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters, which was first held in 1994, is the ITF year-end championship for the world’s top eight men’s, women’s and quad singles players. 2024 marks the 30th Anniversary of the prestigious event first being held in Eindhoven with NEC as title sponsor.

The ITF Wheelchair Doubles Masters is the ITF’s flagship wheelchair tennis doubles event. First staged in 2000, the season-ending event features the world’s top eight men’s doubles partnerships, top six women’s doubles partnerships and top four quad doubles partnerships.
