Overview

The W100 Shrewsbury sponsored by Budgen Motors will take place 15-22 October. This will be the second ITF World Tennis Tour W100 event, to be held at the highly prestigious Shrewsbury Club, which has previously also staged a W60 event and a number of M25/W25 events over the past decade.

As one of the stand out venues on the British Indoor Circuit, the Club takes great pride in bringing international tennis to the region, regularly selling out the centre court arena and hosting a wide variety of hospitality and promotional events throughout the week.

The 2022 event saw a number of world top 100 players in action including 2022 Wimbledon semi-finalist Tatjana Maria, Anhelina Kalinina, Dalma Galfi, Viktoriya Tomava, and Elena Gabriela Ruse.

2019 French Open finalist Marketa Vondrousova captured the W100 Shrewsbury women’s singles title defeating Germany’s rising star Eva Lys in the final. Vondrousova had defeated top seed Anhelina Kalinina in her semi-final, whilst Lys had beaten another former top 20 player in Ana Konjuh.
