Kristina Mladenovic headlined the field at the W100+H Dubai tournament - the final big women's tournament of the 2020 season on the ITF World Tennis Tour - but ultimately had to withdraw in the second round with a back injury.

Fourteen top 100 players were on the initial entry list for the event, including Britain's Heather Watson, Russia's Anna Blinkova, Czech pair Siniakova and Barbora Krejcikova and Camila Giorgi, but it was world No. 84 Cirstea who came out on top at the end.
