The ENGIE OPEN BIARRITZ PAYS BASQUE will take place 6-12 June. Straight after Roland Garros, the tournament takes a strategic position in the calendar. It confirms its flagship position on the ITF World Tennis Tour for the next female tennis champions.
The tournament qualifiers will take place with a roster of 32 players on the 6th and 7th of the week. The main event will start on Tuesday afternoon with 32 international players for the singles and 16 players for the doubles.
Each year, some of the best international and French professional players compete with the 2021 edition distinguished by the presence of players in the top 20 of the French ranking such as Chloé Paquet (no. 8), Amandine Hesse (no. 9), Diane Parry (no. 10) and Tessah Andrianjafitrimo (no. 11).
In 2021 the trophy was won by the number one seed Francesca Jones who will be looking to defend her title.
